Stevia Extract Stevioside
an Aspartame Alternative?

Not on your life ........ Stevia extract Stevioside is better!

Stevia Vs Aspartame or Natural vs. Synthetic

What artificial sweetener with no calories has been laboratory produced? Aspartame!

What artificial sweetener when heated turns into formaldehyde? Aspartame! But it does have no calories or carbohydrates.

What artificial or synthetic sweetener has been proven to cause cancer? Cyclamate!

What all safe natural plant extract sold in Japan, China, and many other countries around the world is not permitted to be sold as a sweetener in the USA by the FDA? Stevia and Stevioside!

Why? We don't have any logical reason, other than Stevia and Stevioside can not be patented. This means that there are not huge profits to the holder of a patent like aspartame and cyclamate have.

Time, and time and time again Stevia and Stevioside have been proven safe. There has never been a study proving they cause cancer, birth defects, brain tumors, or any other harmful effect to people. They do not change when heated. Like Aspartame which even the FDA acknowledges changes into formaldehyde when heated.

Many Countries Find Stevia Safe for Food Use

After many years of intensive testing for toxicity, and danger to people Japan finds Stevia and Stevioside safe to use as table top sweeteners and in all foods. So does China, and Korea, and Paraguay, and many other countries. In fact so did the USA until that fateful day when aspartame was approved as a no calorie sweetener by the FDA. Suddenly a trade complaint was launched, and the FDA out of the blue decided that Stevia and Stevioside were suddenly unsafe. They even issued an import alert.

Aspartame (Nutra sweet, Equal) is carbohydrate free. Is this a risk worth taking?......... Or is it better to use an all natural product that has been in continuous use by humankind since before the Conquistadors "Discovered" Stevia in the 1500's. We can't tell you to use stevia and stevioside in place of aspartame......... especially if you live in the USA. We are not medical people, and do not provide medical advise. We'll let the nurse talk

An RN Comments about Aspartame

Martha Z. RN/Researcher told us in a conversation "My concern is not about the gum in general but the kind, SUGARLESS. Undoubtedly, sugar free will contain aspartame, better known as nutrasweet/equal. Aspartame is a poison, excitotoxin that damages the central nervous and immune system, ultimately all cells, whether ingested or chewed as gum,"

"Aspartame's small molecules work like nitroglycerin, straight from the saliva to the brain and can cause a grand mal seizure." Risk worth taking?
